Although Claire Hilsinger as the longhaired King looks scary and gruff, Molly Gorin just can't take him
seriously.

Lee Fierro has forged a unique theater program over these many years. The summer campers perform an original musical and two fairy tales at each of the two summer shows. The musical, told in two parts, is titled “Toward the Golden Shore” and part two will be performed next weekend. The musical is written and directed by Ms. Fierro, with original music by Linda Berg.
The story centers on a group of immigrants from many different countries who are coming to America. With apprehension and some excitement they make the long journey a new life. Part one of the story, performed in late July, ended with the entire company singing “Hello, America, Hello.” Next weekend we will find out the rest of the story as the campers end their summer on a high note.
Island Theatre Workshop’s Children’s Theater final performance of the summer, “Toward the Golden Shore Part II,” will be playing at the Oak Bluffs Sailing Camp Park on Thursday, August 18, at 7:30 pm, and Friday, August 19, at 5 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $6 for children and seniors.
