Astrology
Try to get organized …
August 25, 2005

By Arlan Wise

Virgo is the last month of summer. It is harvest time and back to school time. This year the month of Virgo (August 22-Sept. 22) will be rocked by the placement of Uranus in the opposite sign of Pisces. It will not be an orderly, organized time but full of surprises.

Here is an explanation of the letters VC, which you see on some of the days. It stands for the moon traveling Void of Course, a term used when the moon is not making any connection to any other planet as it moves through a sign. On one level it’s just mathematics, on another level it describes a time period when the energy of the day seems to drop into a hole. Pay attention and you will see what I mean. What is begun during a VC moon never reaches fulfillment. Life gets confusing. It’s as if the greater intelligence in the Universe is telling you to take a break: it’s a good time to take a nap. If you don’t want something to happen, then begin it during the VC time.

Thursday, August 25 Moon VC Taurus. Whatever it is that gave you pleasure yesterday is worth repeating today. This VC moon is giving you a chance to pamper your body. Consider what you look like and what you feel like and how you would like to improve that state. Plant and transplant; it’s a fertile moon.

Friday, August 26 Moon in Gemini. You’ll be busy all day. Your mind is active and seeks out new information. It’s a good day to write. Let your imagination soar and get your thoughts down on paper or on Word. Don’t be distracted by phone calls or ideas of play. Meet with friends and talk tonight.

Saturday, August 27 Moon in Gemini. It’s a good weekend to take a short trip. Visit your siblings, take the kids to an amusement park, or attend a workshop. Go out and visit with your neighbors. It will be hard to resist gossiping and passing on news. Catch up with your correspondence. You can escape into fantasyland tonight.

Sunday, August 28 Moon VC Gemini, enters Cancer 2:57 pm. Try to remember last night’s dreams. It ‘s a perfect lazy Sunday to read the papers at your leisure. Call a friend and go out for brunch. Read that summer novel you enjoy. Work on your writing project. You can work around the house and garden in the late afternoon.

Monday, August 29 Moon in Cancer. It’s a calm day when you can work with a sense of security. You’ll know what to do to make things feel safer. People need to be treated with kindness; if you do you’ll receive a positive response. Do tomorrow’s work today. Check in with mother and discuss family news. It will feel good to cook your favorite foods.

Tuesday, August 30 Moon VC Cancer. It’s an all VC day. Take a personal day and spend the day at home. That’s where you really want to be today. It’s a day for pleasure. Follow your whims and fancies. Batten down the hatches, both literally and emotionally, as tomorrow is tumultuous.

Wednesday, August 31 Moon in Leo. The sun and maverick Uranus have their annual stand-off. It’s a right brain, left brain contest. Can you defend and be comfortable with what you know to be true even though you can’t document it? Expect the unexpected and be ready to let go of wanting to do it your way.

Thursday, Sept. 1 Moon in Leo. Venus and Jupiter meet in the relationship oriented sign of Libra. Leo moon adds love and romance to the atmosphere. It’s a day to celebrate your relationship. Express your love to your loved one. Give him/her a gift. It’s a day to indulge yourself without feeling guilty. Be careful not to overdo.

Friday, Sept. 2 Moon VC Leo, enters Virgo 3:56 pm. Pluto turns into direct motion this morning. He carries intense energy and the day will reflect this. Look back to the end of March and see how you have changed and what you have let go of. Spend time playing with kids. Learn from them how to stay in the moment. Tonight is the dark of the moon.

Saturday, Sept. 3 Moon in Virgo. Uranus opposes this new moon. Nothing will go as planned this month. You will feel frustrated as you try to keep things sorted out and in order. If you allow yourself to flow free, you can access some very original ideas and material. Affirmations are powerful today; you can reprogram your mind and attitudes, especially about your work and health.

Sunday, Sept. 4 Moon in Virgo, VC 11:39 am. Work in the morning. Set up what you want to get done and get started as early as you can. Mercury enters his own sign of Virgo, making your communications clear and precise. You can work on all the details of the project now. Finish up jobs and chores that you’ve begun.

Monday, Sept. 5 Moon in Libra. Enjoy the holiday with your partner or a favorite friend. It’s more fun to spend the day with people. Relax and visit art galleries or museums. A connection between the sun and Chiron may have you feeling vulnerable about your relationship.

Tuesday, Sept. 6 Moon in Libra. The moon touches Jupiter and tells you to be good to your partner and to yourself. Buy that beautiful piece of clothing or jewelry you’ve wanted all summer. Treat yourself to a piece of art. Buy a rug. It’s a good day for negotiations and finding compromises, so have that talk today.

Wednesday, Sept. 7 Moon VC Libra, enters Scorpio 2:10 pm. It will be hard to feel motivated about work or projects today. VC Libra moon is lazy energy. Do the minimum until the moon changes sign. Save anything that requires you to be strong and forceful until late afternoon.

Thursday, Sept. 8 Moon in Scorpio. It’s a day for introspection. You can easily diagnose the problems you and others are having. Don’t let your moods spill over onto other people. It’s a day to dig for information and find missing materials. Spend time alone, and write in your journal.
