Santa arrives by fire truck at the Portuguese-American
Club where children waited anxiously for a chance to whisper
in his ear.
Oftentimes
Santa arrives alone when he visits Island children, but Sunday
was different. When the jolly old elf arrived by fire truck
at the Portuguese- American Club in Oak Bluffs right beside
him was Mrs. Claus herself. The Christmas couple settled down
near the fireplace in the club's spacious new hall and welcomed
delighted children of all ages.

every Monday at noon for Thursdays issue. This deadline
is firm. It is the sole discretion of The Timess editorial
staff to determine if and how an entry is listed in the Directory
of Information. Remember that The Times also accepts paid
advertisements for events: 508-693-6100.
Submitting
a Calendar Listing:
Include the name of the event, date and time,
location, short description, admission or fee charged (specify
if its free), and contact phone number. If the event
is a benefit, please include the name of the sponsor/s and
where proceeds will go.
All information must be submitted in writing only. Telephone
submissions cannot be accepted. Incomplete submissions delay
the editorial process and will not be published. All submissions
