Calling directors for play festival

The Island Theatre Workshop is seeking directors for its short play showcase March 9 through 19 at the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven.

All new or experienced directors are encouraged to call Lee Fierro at 508-693-5290 for information.

Share the wealth
Are there children's books in your home that your family has outgrown? Donate them to the town of Pearlington, Miss., hard hit by Katrina. Vineyarder Matt Parker, working with Americorps, has put out the call for children's books. Collection bins are in Island schools and libraries.

Go through your books today and donate what you can to the children in Mississippi.
