Dardanella Slavin of Chilmark graduated with honors from the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, N.Y. on Dec. 10, 2005. The daughter of Sheila Muldaur of Chilmark, Ms. Slavin is a member of the Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Scholastic Honor Society.

Ms. Slavin will be opening a practice in Vineyard Haven with another Island native, massage therapist Allyson Cook of Oak Bluffs.

Julie Pringle of Vineyard Haven is the winner of the 2006 Tisbury School Geography Bee sponsored by the National Geographic Society. Ms. Pringle is in the eighth grade and she also won the competition three years ago when she was in the fifth grade.

Ms. Pringle will now take a written test to determine her eligibility for the state-wide competition. State winners compete in the national championship in Washington, D.C. in May.

Emily A. Diamond of Vineyard Haven has earned honors for the fall term of the 2005-06 academic year at Phillips Exeter Academy. Ms. Diamond, an 11th grader, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Diamond.

Jeffrey D. Smith of Chilmark has been named to the Cushing Academy's honor roll for the fall term of the 2005-06 academic year.

Kaitlyn Butynski graduated from Radford University in Radford, Va., on Dec. 17, 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies. Ms. Butynski is the daughter of Jack and Dee Butynski and the granddaughter of Huck and Marge Look, all of Edgartown. Ms. Butynski lives in Potomac Falls, Va., where she is assistant director of Little Gyms and also gymnastic coach at Potomac Falls High School.

Lindsay L. Lehman of Oak Bluffs has received a bachelor's degree in counseling and health psychology from Emmanuel College in Boston.
