Grace enrichment

By Anna Marie D'Addarie - March 23, 2006

Grace Preschool will host its seventh annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 25, from 5 to 7 pm in the Grace Episcopal Church parish hall on Woodlawn Avenue in Vineyard Haven. Grace Preschool is half a century old and the folks involved plan a big celebration soon, but this annual dinner benefits the school's enrichment program.

The dinner features spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad, garlic bread, beverage, and dessert. The Brian Nelson Quartet will entertain with jazz music and there will be door prizes all evening.

The silent auction items will include Red Sox tickets, T-shirts, hats, and trading cards, perfect for any fan. The New England Fast Ferry donated a pair of round-trip tickets for an off-Island excursion. Bid on 100 gallons of heating fuel from the R.M. Packer Company or jewelry by several Island artists. If your bid is the highest, have a family portrait taken by photographer Nicole Friedler. If you enjoy eating out, bid on some of the restaurant gift certificates available.

Do you have a special Grace Preschool memory or photograph you would like to have included in the 50th anniversary celebration? Call the school to have it included.
