How could anyone resist this dynamic duo? We just arrived from the Boston MSPCA, where we were returned after being adopted several months ago. Our previous owner loved us very much, but became ill and could no longer care for us properly. Sadly, this is the second time we've come back. Before that, we were adopted and returned for similar reasons. This time, we're hoping our luck will change here on the Vineyard!

The staff says we're a well-adjusted, happy and social "brother and sister" pair, who've spent most of our lives together, and are very bonded and devoted to one another. Charlie is a handsome five-year-old Rottie/Lab mix, and Peanut is an adorable three-year-old Dachshund/Min Pin mix. We are clean, housebroken, well-mannered, playful, loving dogs, who deserve another chance to live happily forever together. We get along well with everyone we meet, including other dogs, although we can be protective of each other sometimes. We enjoy walks and rides in the car, and just having quiet time snuggling with each other, and you! The staff says we'll make the perfect "instant dog family," for someone who is longing for the companionship of a pair of canine friends! We've bounced around too many times, and here we are, waiting patiently for our final, forever home.

The MSPCA of Martha's Vineyard is located on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, near the Triangle, in Edgartown. Shelter hours are: Tues. through Sat., 10 am to 4 pm. Call 508-627-8662.
