Reading program has wheels
The Edgartown School and Wheel Happy Bike Shop are teaming up to challenge Edgartown School students to increase their reading. Students who read will be entered in raffles for a chance to win a new bike.

Phil Hughes, owner of Wheel Happy, heard about the program through one of his suppliers, Giant Bicycle USA, and brought the idea to Edgartown School.

Students heard about the reading program at a kick-off assembly on April 10 in the school gym. One winner from grades K through 4 and another from grades 5 to 8 will be chosen on Friday, June 2 at the school. Students will receive a raffle ticket for every two hours of reading they do during the contest.

Encourage your children to read. They may be riding a new bike this summer. For more information, contact your child's teacher at the Edgartown School or call Mr. Hughes at 508-627-5928.
