The 21st annual Taste of the Vineyard Gourmet Stroll took place on the lawn of the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown on June 15 to benefit the Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust. The rain stopped as if on cue just as eager guests lined up on Main Street for the 6:30 pm opening.

Restaurants, caterers, and beverage purveyors filled the huge tents with table after table of extraordinary food just waiting to be sampled. The guests quickly ran out of superlatives to describe what they tasted. Music by the Sultans of Swing got everyone in a dancing mood. The atmosphere was pure fun.

The Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust was established in 1946 and is dedicated to conserving the Island's architectural legacy. The non-profit group is supported entirely by contributions from the public, and proceeds from this event will go a long way to help them continue their mission.
