Art on the waterfront
Story and photo by Sara Piazza - July 6, 2006
Edgartown's Old Sculpin Gallery, a long time favorite of summer Sunday afternoon gallery-hoppers due to its waterfront atmosphere (the gallery, overlooking the harbor, was once Manuel Swartz Roberts' catboat-building shed), easy accessibility to downtown strollers-oh, and great art -held an opening for an eclectic quartet of artists last weekend. Their works include the large-format black and white photography of Amelia Krales; Ben Scott's unique multi-media compositions; and paintings by Donna Blackburn and Victor Pisini. Donna Blackburn's and Amelia Krales's shows will be hanging through tomorrow, Friday July 7; Victor Pisini's and Ben Scott's shows will be up through July 14.
