Note-able Experience

Calling all music lovers. Friends of the Oak Bluffs Council on Aging are presenting one of the Island's favorite and most accomplished musical groups, The John Alaimo Trio, in a performance of "Jazz in the Afternoon." A benefit for the Oak Bluffs Senior Center, the concert will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, from 2 to 4 pm at the Sailing Camp. A $10 donation is suggested.

Whale farewell

Labor Day weekend marks the end of many activities, and most recently, it marks the end off this summer's Cape and Islands Whale Trail. On Saturday, Sept. 10, artists, sponsors, and charity representatives will be on hand from 10 am to 12 noon for the last of the whale spotters. Jazz at Featherstone

Come help Featherstone Center for the Arts celebrate at two musical "End of the Summer Bashes" this weekend. Marla Blakey produces the jazzy shows, which will feature well-known jazz singer Shawnn Monteiro on Saturday evening and Powerband playing International World Music from the Cape Verde Islands on Sunday. Wear your dancing shoes - a dance floor has been added so audience members can make the most of the beat!
