The Edgartown National Bank held a raffle in conjunction with their Island Gold Card business partners in August and September. The winners were presented with a $250 gift certificate from the business of their choice. The winners are, Lisa Carpenter, a gift certificate to Patti Linn Salon, West Tisbury; Linda Bossio, a gift certificate to Brickman's, Vineyard Haven; Jane Lawson, a gift certificate to Trader Fred's, Edgartown; and Monica Rodrigues, a gift certificate to Lola's, Oak Bluffs.

Tonya Leonard of Skidmore College will be performing the role of Muzi in the Skidmore College Cabaret Troupe's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Oct. 26 through 28. Tonya is studying education and law, and will graduate in 2008.

Alida Limber Dean and Tiffany Smalley of the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School have been named Commended Students in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Ben Scott of Tisbury took the cover photograph on the November issue of "On The Water" magazine.
A student at the Rhode Island School of Design, Ben was a photography intern at The Times in the summers of 2005 and '06.

The Sheriff's Meadow Foundation has elected new officers. They are as follows: Steve Crampton, president; Emily Bramhall, vice president; John Schaefer, treasurer; Sarah Foehl, clerk/assistant treasurer.
