A dream came true

Last Saturday and Sunday, Nutcracker fever swept the Island when the holiday ballet took the stage at the high school's Performing Arts Center. The annual Nutcracker Gala was presented by Children In The Arts of Martha's Vineyard and the Martha's Vineyard School of Ballet. This year's cast included the largest number of Islanders ever, alongside professionals from the Cape Cod Ballet and the Milwaukee Ballet.
So many people volunteered their time and talent to bring the ballet to life. Parents worked tirelessly behind the scenes and the children practiced for hours on their dances. Judging from the applause, the audience loved every minute of it.
