The holidays were in full swing in down-Island towns. It all started with caroling led by Ann Bassett on Main Street in Vineyard Haven, Thursday evening. Carolers met in front of Bunch of Grapes and sang their way up and down the street.

Christmas shoppers were treated to the Taste of Tisbury this past Saturday afternoon. Baked goods were provided to different shops on Main Street by Zephrus, Louis', Cakes by Liz, and Mediterranean.

On Christmas Day, an old-fashioned Christmas dinner was provided at the VFW in Oak Bluffs, without charge, for those who wanted a good meal with good company.
