Following their dreams

The Tisbury School performed Disney's "High School Musical" last weekend. The play tells the story of the studious Gabriella Montez and star athlete Troy Bolton of East High School. The two share a love of music and decide to be in the school musical. In Disney fashion, all ends well with plenty of fun and life lessons being learned along the way.

The Tisbury School students enjoyed putting on this musical and it showed. Playing high school students may sound like an easy thing to do, but doing a musical is lots of hard work. Audiences at both performances last weekend rewarded all that hard work with cheers and applause. The musical was directed by Chris Abbot, with Peter Boak as the musical director.

The eighth-graders hosted a lasagna dinner before the Friday night show to raise funds for their upcoming trip. Dinner and a fun show is a winning combination.
