In January, the Cappelli sisters, Emelia 11, and Amber 8, got their hair cut. Short. When the two decided to grow their hair long and donate it to Locks of Love, it was in the heat of last summer. It took a long time, but finally each girl had enough hair (a minimum of 10 inches is required) and Tommye Ann Brown did the honors. Emelia donated 13 inches of her hair and Amber had 10 inches to send to the organization.
The girls are the daughters of Anthony and Sylvia Cappelli and both girls are students at the Oak Bluffs School. These two generous girls know what it means to have a "good hair day."
