I could blame my bad luck on Friday the thirteenth, but luck had nothing to do with my poor Scrabble playing last week at the Oak Bluffs Public Library. I was intimidated by Jeffie DeFusco (at right), a sweet woman from Oak Bluffs, who dominated Scrabble Day with scores such as 34 points for one letter.

Reference librarian Mathew Bose has been hosting Scrabble games for the past few months and would like to get a club started at the library. Last Friday's game was dedicated to its inventor, Alfred M. Butts.

If you would like to join in the Scrabble fun contact Mr. Bose at the library at 508-693-9433, ext. 145 or email him at mbose@clamsnet.org.
