The Grace Church preschoolers were busy this past Tuesday, delivering hand potted plants to residents of Havenside, and residents and businesses along Williams Street and Main Street, Vineyard Haven. For the past three years, the school has worked with a nursery to make the flowering gifts, and secretly give them to Tisbury residents. This year, they worked with Vineyard Gardens to create their colorful spring flower bunches and continue the May Day tradition.

"They're like little elves," says Susan Metell of the preschool. "We leave the May baskets anonymously, but sometimes we get caught, and the people love it."
