Mr. and Mrs. Marvin D. Perry of Bristol, R.I., announce the engagement of their daughter, Marilyn Cabral, to Derek N. Tipton of Oak Bluffs. Derek is the son of Norman and Elizabeth Tipton, both deceased, of London, England. An Island wedding is planned for October 2008.
