The first Vineyard Artisans Festival of 2007 attracted scores of shoppers and browsers to the Memorial Day weekend sale Saturday and Sunday at the Grange in West Tisbury. Visitors perused an abundance of tempting handicrafts including jewelry, ceramics, art work, clothing, sweet-smelling toiletries and candles, furniture, leather crafts, and much more.

The festival, which began as a single big sale in 1995, has now expanded to include more than 70 local artists and artisans who sell at twice-weekly events during mid-summer and at special holiday weekend events as well. Organized by Andrea Rogers, the festival since 2002 has been juried, ensuring that customers will find high quality along with that "made on the Vineyard" panache.

Festivals will be held on Sundays through June beginning on June 10 and on Sundays and Thursdays in July and August.
