Video: Island bike safety

Concerned with bicycle riding on the Island, Chris Fried recently strapped a video camera to his chest and filmed his ride from Vineyard Haven to Oak Bluffs. His findings were potholes, sand, irregular shoulders, curbs, and dangerous crosswalks, according to Mr. Fried. "Let's Make Biking Safe on M.V.," is his 50-minute video, and will be showing on MVTV, channel 13, and can also be borrowed from Mr. Fried. For more information, call Mr. Fried at 508-693-7741.
