Chappy festival continues

The Chappaquiddick Summer Music Festival continues tonight with violinist, Andrew Kohji Taylor, accompanied on piano by Tomaki Matsuo.

The program will include Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata and Schubert's Fantasy for violin and piano in C major. Mr. Matsuo will also perform an arrangement of Bach's Chaconne for piano, left hand.

Mr. Taylor has appeared in recital in New York, Boston, Washington, Paris, London, Berlin, and Tokyo. He has performed in the Marlboro and Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Music Festivals. Mr. Taylor is a Boston native, and has studied at the New England Conservatory with Masuko Usioda as well as the Hochschule der Kunste Berlin with Uwe Martin Hailberg.

Music Festival concert, Thursday, July 26, 8 pm, Chappaquiddick Community Center. Ferry shuttle before and after the concert, begins at 7:30 pm. Reception follows. Tickets: $18 or $16 for seniors. Call 508-627-5514 for more information.
