Built on Stilts, a community dance festival, continues this week through Saturday, August 25. The festival's all-inclusive policy ensures a diverse range of performances, giving professionals a place to try out new material and new dancers the opportunity to try their wings.
Since 1997, Built on Stilts has reflected the artistic spirit of the Island, growing from one night to a week-long festival. Audience members may drop in and stay for as many dances as they like. The shows are all free. Stop by and see this unique Island event.
Built on Stilts, daily through August 25, 7:30 pm, drum circle begins; 8 pm dancing begins, at Union Chapel, Kennebec Ave., Oak Bluffs. Admission is free. No reservations needed.
