Thanksgiving weekend concert

The Martha's Vineyard Chamber Music Society will present their last concert of the 2007 season on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.

Violinist Joanna Kurkowicz, cellist Scott Kluksdahl, violist Scott Woolweaver, and pianist Delores Stevens will perform.

"Two Pieces for Piano and Viola" by Frank Bridges will open the concert featuring Mr. Woolweaver and Ms. Stevens. Ms. Kurkowicz and Ms. Stevens will perform Sonata #1 in G major, Opus 78 by Johannes Brahms, and Mr. Kluksdahl and Ms. Stevens will perform the "Grand Tango for Cello and Piano," by Astor Piazzolla. The concert will also include the Piano Quartet in C minor, Opus 13, by Richard Strauss featuring the entire ensemble.

In this concert, the audience will hear a range of music from romantic to modern. Treat yourself to a feast of music this Thanksgiving weekend.
