Astrology - Finishing up...

By Arlan Wise - January 10, 2008

There's a feeling in the air caused by Pluto at the end of a sign and Mars and Saturn both retrograde that it's time to bring things to completion. Let that be the theme of the next two weeks: are you finished and done with certain things you've been doing or will your enthusiasm return? Do you want this to be the last time you go to a place or do certain kinds of work or do you want to continue on?

Check out Michael Lutin on youtube.com. Search for his name and watch his five-minute piece on Pluto in Capricorn and what it means for the future. He is one of the world's best astrologers and it's worth your time to listen to him.

Mercury has his next retrograde period from Jan. 28 to Feb. 18. This gives you over two weeks to get ready and get things in shape. It will be a good time to be on vacation.

Thursday, Jan. 10 Moon in Aquarius. Venus and Chiron dance today and encourage you to patch up any wounds or breaks in your relationships. Quiet down and let the answers come to you. Think outside the box today. Exercise your mind with some good old science fiction movies. Check out the UFO shows on the History Channel.

Friday, Jan. 11 Moon in Aquarius, VC 12:52 pm until 1:44 pm when it enters Pisces. Do your thinking in the morning and let your intuition take over in the afternoon. You may want to start the weekend early, as you'll feel like drifting through the afternoon. Check in on your elderly, ill, or housebound friends and neighbors to make sure they have what they need for the cold weather.

Saturday, Jan. 12 Moon in Pisces. This is your "take it easy and catch up on your life" weekend. It's the perfect time for a meditation retreat, a yoga workshop, or personal solitude and contemplation. Venus and Uranus add some excitement to the day. You may meet someone who is important in a quick, catalyst-type way. A relationship can start or end on a sudden note.

Sunday, Jan. 13 Moon in Pisces, VC 6:41 pm until 7:23 pm when it enters Aries. It's a slow and easy day. Sleep late and have no plans. Take some time to help others. Work on forgiveness towards those to whom it is a stretch to forgive; the Pisces moon will help you. You'll wake up this evening and will need something to do.

Monday, Jan. 14 Moon in Aries. You'll have had enough of other people and want to handle your own interests and make your own decisions today. There are two full workweeks left until Mercury goes retrograde so use your time at work to the fullest. You'll have good energy and good thoughts and you want to promote your agenda and push your ideas.

Tuesday, Jan. 15 Moon in Aries. It's a day to go happily along on your own. You won't feel like, nor do well, being on a team or in a group or under a boss's scrutiny. You don't want to play by anyone else's rules so go it alone today. Try to challenge your personal best in your sport.

Wednesday, Jan. 16 Moon in Taurus. Take time for romance today. It's a slow, sensual, earthy day. Deal with what is in front of you and leave the theories and the "what-ifs" for another day. Buy more plants for the house and office and nurture the ones you have. Buy a piece of art or jewelry or handmaid furniture. Take your loved one out for a gourmet dinner.

Thursday, Jan. 17 Moon in Taurus, VC 9:05 pm. It's another practical, down-to-earth day. Look over your financial situation and decide if your assets are in the safest place they can be for the coming year. You have good money sense today. Mercury meets Chiron and they offer you the information you need to heal yourself. It's a good day to see a body worker.

Friday, Jan. 18 Moon in Gemini. Work hard at your communications and writing assignments. Do as much as you can today since your days with Mercury direct are running out. Monday has a VC moon all day so you'll lose a day. Make appointments to take care of the car, buy your office supplies and new equipment. Get out and see your friends tonight.

Saturday, Jan. 19 Moon in Gemini. Don't make a schedule but just see where the day takes you. You'll see people and be influenced by them and walk their path for a while then take off to see someone else. Keep it to short tasks and short visits. It's the last full day of Capricorn so you may feel like working. There is a potential for male-female friction tonight.

Sunday, Jan. 20 Moon in Cancer. The sun enters Aquarius at 11:44 am. Yet, lunar energy is strong today and you'll feel your emotions leading the day. Many memories of childhood homes and family moments will rise up to the surface. It's a day to make things grow so sprout some seeds, make some bread, and start a change jar to save for a special treat. Make the important phone calls you would make tomorrow.

Monday, Jan. 21 Moon VC Cancer. Stay in bed as late as you can. Stay home if you can, as that will be the most comfortable place to be today. Feed the birds and do catch-up around-the-house things. Jupiter and Saturn combine in a way that gives you good judgment and clear vision. Get ready to launch a new venture.

Tuesday, Jan. 22 Moon in Leo. This is a highly creative day when you can and will shine. This is the day to show your work and your talent. This is the day to write, draw, paint, compose, and have it come out right. The full moon in Leo is a time to become aware of the creative power of thought.

Wednesday, Jan. 23 Moon in Leo. Pluto is teetering on the edge of change as he nears his entry into Capricorn. Your heart will undergo a shock as Venus comes to Pluto and hidden truths about relationships and money are revealed. Use this passion in a creative manner. Follow where your heart points. Be ready to give up what has ended.

Thursday, Jan. 24 Moon in Leo, VC 9:43 am until 9:48 am when it enters Virgo. This is another intense day for love and money. Venus meets up with Pluto, has a fiery encounter, and then dives into cool Capricorn. Pluto is getting ready to follow her, which makes the day most unstable. The moon contacts Saturn and reminds you that life is getting serious.
