Astrology - Change...

By Arlan Wise - January 24, 2008

Everything changes, and the next two weeks hold many planetary endings and beginnings. Pluto ends his 12-year stay in Sagittarius and enters Capricorn. If you haven't yet done so, check out Michael Lutin on www.youtube.com. He tells you what Pluto in Capricorn will bring.

Mars ends his retrograde period on Jan. 30 and Mercury begins his first retrograde phase of the year on Jan. 28. Can you see the confusion this causes?

The first solar eclipse of the year occurs on Feb. 6 at 17 degrees of Aquarius. It happens near Neptune, Mercury, and Chiron who are coming together in Aquarius. Eclipses bring change by wiping out existing situations.

The Chinese year of the Rat begins on Feb. 7, which is the Chinese New Year. Those born in 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, and 1996 are Rats. A Rat year brings you prosperity and promotion.

Thursday, Jan. 24 Moon in Leo, VC 9:43 am until 9:48 am when it enters Virgo. This is another intense day for love and money. Venus meets up with Pluto, has a fiery encounter, and then dives into cool Capricorn. Pluto is getting ready to follow her, which makes the day most unstable. The moon contacts Saturn and reminds you that life is getting serious.

Friday, Jan. 25 Moon in Virgo. Today is the last chance for doing all Mercury-related activities with clarity and ease. You can focus and stick to your tasks. Take care of the details and leave the big picture for another time. The whole day is overshadowed by Pluto leaving his long-term stay in Sagittarius and entering Capricorn at 10:44 pm.

Saturday, Jan. 26 Moon VC in Virgo, enters Libra 5:35 pm. Take the day off to get used to this new energy. The moon makes its first contact to Pluto in his new home late this afternoon and you'll get a sense of how he likes it. Think of how Pluto can help you transform your career. Go out to a party tonight and see if people behave differently.

Sunday, Jan. 27 Moon in Libra. Relax and have a light, social day. Go for brunch with friends and family, take walks, do what relaxes you. It's the last full day with Mercury in direct motion, so make your important phone calls and e-mails and get things ready to put in the mail tomorrow morning. Shop for art supplies, music, and crafts materials to keep you busy on the cold nights.

Monday, Jan. 28 Moon in Libra, VC 4:48 pm. Mercury turns into retrograde motion at 3:31 pm. He is motionless today and you'll feel the lull in the energy as he prepares to change direction. The energy this week is unstable so don't get locked into any commitments or schedules as you need to be able to adapt to possible confusion.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 Moon in Scorpio. Venus and Saturn remind you that there are simple pleasures and treasures in your life. Show gratitude to the people who care for you. Your emotions will be jangled by the reversal of what you thought to be true. Don't hang onto things, ideas, or people that you know should fade into the past.

Wednesday, Jan. 30 Moon in Scorpio. Mars stops and moves into direct motion at 5:33 pm. Look back to mid-December and see which of the projects and passions you were interested in then are still alive. It's a hard day to make decisions as your mind and emotions are in conflict. The moon is VC all day tomorrow so you need to take care of tomorrow's important work today.

Thursday, Jan. 31 Moon VC in Scorpio, enters Sagittarius 5:08 pm. Drift though the day continuing on with what you've been doing. Look for lost objects and do needed research online or in the libraries. Have an afternoon tryst. Get out and about in the evening.

Friday, Feb. 1 Moon in Sagittarius. Buy lottery tickets, raffle tickets, enter contests. It's a lucky day, a blessed day, with both benefics, Venus and Jupiter, dancing in joy throughout the day. Celebrate Mars in direct motion by buying yourself a big present. Buy tickets to travel to a place you've never seen. Sign up for that course you want to take.

Saturday, Feb. 2 Moon in Sagittarius, VC 5:21 pm. It's Candlemas, also known as Groundhog Day. See the movie again to stretch your mind. Mercury backs up to contact Neptune and asks you to rethink all your romantic words. You'll see the other side of your fantasies. You'll hear other people's truth which may or may not jibe with reality.

Sunday, Feb. 3 Moon in Capricorn. It makes sense to go to work today and work as hard as you can today and tomorrow to avoid the midweek confusion caused by the eclipse. You'll feel serious and will have the discipline and patience to get the work done. If not work, then spend the day taking care of your responsibilities.

Monday, Feb. 4 Moon in Capricorn, VC 1:20 pm. It's a lucky morning, so use the time to seek out new opportunities, grab them and implement them right away. You can take the next big steps to further your career. Envision your future and set goals to reach it. Once the moon goes VC you can go onto automatic pilot to finish the day.

Tuesday, Feb. 5 Moon VC in Capricorn, enters Aquarius 2:10 pm. Go to the polls in the afternoon if you want your vote to count. Today is in the orb of tomorrow's eclipse and you'll feel the instability in the air. Let ideas whirl around in your head and write down the good ones. See if you can convince someone to change to your political opinion.

Wednesday, Feb. 6 Moon in Aquarius. The Solar eclipse occurs at night so we will not see it but will feel its energy all day. It is a day for prayer and contemplation. Thoughts are powerful today and can heal. Meditate with compassion for all beings. Don't start anything or do anything that can't be undone.

Thursday, Feb. 7 Moon in Aquarius, VC from 10:50 am until 8:46 pm when it enters Pisces. It's another day to spend in your mind, as you won't get much accomplished on earth. Today is Chinese New Year, the year of the Rat. Look up the meaning on the Internet. Get lost in ideas. Get to bed early and catch up on your sleep.
