Big bunches of birthday balloon wishes go to Betty Ortiz. She was honored with a party at the P.A. Club. She was celebrating her 90th birthday. Congratulations!
Welcome to little Rylie Adele Mansfield. She was born on Dec. 12 at South Shore Hospital. Her happy parents are Katy and Rick Mansfield of Bridgewater. Her proud grandmothers are Eileen Andrews of this town and Gloria Mansfield of St. Michaels, Maryland. Rylie's mom grew up here so we expect the little one to come for a visit very soon.

Are you ready for spring flowers? The Tisbury Travel Club will go to the Rhode Island Spring Garden and Flower Show in Providence on Friday, Feb. 22. This show has professional and garden club displays. This year the "Fairy Tales" exhibits explore the myth of Mother Nature as her magic becomes more captivating when combined with some of the most familiar fairy tales, such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Sleeping Beauty. Spring will bring these fantasies to life, melting away winter's wicked spell. Tickets are $36. This includes show admission as well as the charter coach and driver. Call in your reservation now at 508-696-4205. Payment is due by Feb. 8.
On Sunday morning I woke up to 52 turkeys screeching and scratching away the snow to look for whatever it is they eat. I think that is a record number for my yard. Maybe I can send them to the Rhode Island Flower Show.
Belated birthday greetings go out to Mev Good. He was partying last Friday in preparation for his special day last Sunday. Birthday balloon wishes go out to Kevin Hammond today. On Sunday wish the best to Caroline Davey. Happy birthday to our town accountant, Suzanne Kennedy on Tuesday. Wednesday belongs to Elisha Smith.
