Where marine life is concerned there's something about the number five that raises some questions and answers others. On Tuesday, March 4, Dr. Frederic Hotchkiss, director of the Marine and Paleobiological Institute, will present "Starfish and the Number Five," explaining facts and ideas concerning the five rays of starfish and their relatives. He will present the mysteries of the five-part symmetry in flowers and echinoderms on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 pm as part of the Vineyard Haven Library Evening Lecture Series. The series is free.
