Students of the M.V. Regional High School visual arts department recently received recognition at the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. Island winners were:

Audrey F. Furlong of West Tisbury is participating in St. Lawrence University's International Study Program for the spring 2008 semester. She is studying at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Steve Anagnos of Oak Bluffs recently completed the University of Massachusetts International Winter School for Turf Managers. Mr. Anagnos owns Lawn Care Pros.

Sarah Paulson of Tisbury made the Chancellor's List at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
