This past Friday, August 29, the Skating School of Martha's Vineyard held their annual The Hottest Thing On Ice exhibition at the Martha's Vineyard Arena. There were 11 solo performances, four by off-Island skaters, and an act by the younger Next Step skaters.

For those interested in joining the skating school, there will be fall registration this Tuesday, Sept. 9, and Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Martha's Vineyard Ice Arena in Oak Bluffs, from 6 to 7 pm. For more information, call 508-693-0208.
