End of Summer Bazaar
The friends of the Tisbury Council on Aging will host a Summer's End Bazaar, on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 am-1 pm. Jewelry, vintage linens, books, antique frames, tinted prints, unique seashore collage, and much more will be available at the Tisbury Senior Center, located at 34 Pine Tree Rd., Vineyard Haven. X-Men class
What if "disability" is really a gift, or ability? This question will be explored by Gary Douglas, founder of Accessing Conscious Children, in a class for families, teachers, therapists, and caregivers of children with ADD, autism, OCD, and dyslexia, who he calls. Douglas. There will be an introduction to Access Energy Transformation tonight, Sept. 18, at 6:30 pm, at the Island Inn in Oak Bluffs. The X-Men class is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 7 pm at the Oak Bluffs School. For information, call 508-317-9399.
"Green" eggs
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, as part of the M.V. Women's Network, a breakfast meeting will be held at the Baylies Room in the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. There will be a roundtable discussion with Vineyard professionals about entrepreneurial opportunities in the green marketplace. Kelly Cox of the Natural Resource Defense Council will lead the discussion and offer money-saving tips on how to make your office environmentally friendly.
