C&C Warriors soundly thrashed in basketball
[More Photos]Randall Jette's 19 points led the Vineyard regional high school varsity basketball team to a 79-43 shellacking of the Coyle & Cassidy Warriors, here, Saturday. TJ Vangerven was right behind Jette with 16 points as was Peter Keeney with 15. It was the Islanders 13th win of 16 games played.
Others contributing to the one-sided victory included Will Stewart 8, Jack Roberts 7, Jake Martin 4, Charlie Everett 3; Ryan Fisher, Ben Ciciora, and Chris Costello 2 each.
Monday the Islanders went right on winning, dropping Greater New Bedford Vocational, off-Island, 76-56.
Jette and Keeny accounted for 34 of the Islanders' total, each with 17. VanGervan added 15 more as did Delmont Araujo. MV's win-loss improved to 14-3.
