Challenge benefits the Food Pantry

Happy Thanksgiving. After reading the story in The Times about the Island Food Pantry (Oct. 20, "The Island Food Pantry - Helping our neighbors") I asked several local businesses to match Edgartown Marine's contribution of $1,000, which, given the state of the economy, I thought had a slim chance of happening.
I am happy to report that so far four businesses have agreed to meet my challenge, making a total of $5,000, and I am still at it. Wish me luck.
