After a year of preparation the Vineyard Haven thrift store at 38 Lagoon Pond Road was once again the bustling, hectic, whoop-and-holler scene of the annual Chicken Alley Art Show.

This past Sunday, August 15, the store's collection of clothing, housewares, vintage items, unusual pieces, collectibles, and art of all description, were displayed and priced to sell for a good cause. That there are treasures to be found has been proven repeatedly over the past nine years.

This year's event was curated by its founder, Olga Hirshhorn, Inas Al-Soqi, and store managers Sandy Pratt, Karen Child, and Dolly Campbell. As always, all proceeds, which this year were upwards of $40,000, go to Martha's Vineyard Community Services.
