REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribal Housing Authority is requesting proposals for painting the interior of one vacant three-bedroom unit known as a family unit (11 Seepuwemes, Aquinnah).
The Housing Authority will provide all required paints, materials, and supplies. The walls and trim of the unit are to be painted in one color chosen by the Housing Authority. The ceiling will be painted with a white paint. We will not provide the required ladders and staging to complete the work. This will be a price for labor, overhead, insurance, and the necessary equipment to complete the job.
The work will include preparing the walls and trim work as needed, cleaning and sanding, and painting the trim and walls with two coats of good interior paint, and painting the ceiling with one coat of good interior ceiling paint, as well as all clean-up upon completion of the job.
In addition to your price we will need to know the amount of time that you anticipate that it will take to properly complete the work, and the anticipated date for start of work. The unit will be unoccupied and will have no furnishings in it.
We anticipate doing other work to this unit while it is vacant so timing is very important to this proposal.
A Certificate of Insurance naming the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribal Housing Authority as the Holder demonstrating Workmen's Compensation Insurance and Liability Insurance must be provided to the Housing Authority prior to the commencement of work.
For all but sole practitioner's Davis Bacon Wages shall apply. Current wages are available on-line at www.gpo.gov/davisbacon/ma.html, Determination Number MA20080014 dated August 15, 2008, or by requesting a copy from the housing office.
All proposals must be received in the Housing Authority Office by 3 PM EST on Tuesday September 23, 2008. All proposals must be in sealed envelopes clearly labeled "Painting Proposal" and be addressed to Jerome Gonsalves, Chairman of the Board, Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribal Housing Authority, P.O. Box 479, Aquinnah, MA 02535.

The Proposal must include your name and mailing address, telephone number, tax identification number or social security number, the price of your proposal breaking out the work into cleaning, sanding, and painting, the anticipated number of days to complete the work, and a target starting date.
