    The Preservation Trust has a membership of more than 3,000 supporters and owns 25 landmarks which are extensively used by the public. Our diverse historic properties include performing arts facilities, commercial buildings, a working farm, a house museum, wedding and reception venues, retail establishments and the nation’s oldest carousel. All of these properties and their associated businesses are directly managed by the Trust.
    The Trust has established a succession plan to engage new leadership for the organization. Our goal is to have a new Executive Director in place by January 1, 2017.
    Candidates for the position should have a background in historic preservation, demonstrated achievement leading a non-profit organization and a deep commitment to living on Martha’s Vineyard and working closely with the island community.

    The Domestic Violence Advocate is a part-time position under the supervision of the DV Program Coordinator. The DV Advocate provides direct services to the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
    SALARY RANGE: $12.76 TO $20.42 Hourly
    -Assists in carrying out the goals and objectives of the Domestic Violence program.
    -Provide supports for victims via access to support services, safety planning and short-term counseling.
    -Provide Court and/or Hospital Advocacy.

    -Provide victims information on legal services available for their protection, safety and support.
    -Attend meetings and trainings to keep current in the field.
    -Utilize Wampanoag culture, through consultation with tribal members and tribal cultural practitioners, as an approach to prevention and services.
    -On-call availability for crisis intervention & advocacy as needed.
    -Other related duties as required.
    -High School diploma or equivalency certificate.

    -Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    -Ability to pass a general background investigation and assessment on attitude towards DV/SA.
