Evacuated Tube (EVT) Solar Hot Water & Heat

Many Martha’s Vineyard homeowners would be happy to lower their energy consumption and save money – but worry that it’s too technical, too experimental or too expensive to get going. Don’t put it off – EVT works with new or existing construction, it’s available and affordable, and we’re here to help at every step. It’s estimated that one-half to two-thirds of residential energy consumption goes to generating hot water and heat. EVT, with a conversion efficiency of +90%, has among the highest energy and cash savings and carbon reduction potential of all available technologies.

As is typical among technology-based home energy savings initiatives, EVT requires initial capital expenditures, but several state and federal incentives may be available to homeowners to help. We lead clients through the loan and incentives process, and help with the paperwork. For example, EVT has proven so attractive that one state program, Mass Save, provides zero interest loans as a conservation incentive. The participating loan company provides the deposit and progress funds. The term for these loans is 7 years, and the payback of the system is often faster, so energy savings frequently offset the loan payments.

We can make energy conservation and cost savings work for you right now; call or email to get started.
