The Island Fall Tennis Classic winners named

Alyssa Adler and Reid Yennie, both of West Tisbury, defeated several of the Island's toughest doubles teams to win trophies as the best 4.0 mixed doubles team in the tournament. Alyssa and Reid are both members of the high school tennis teams.
The Island Fall Tennis Classic to benefit MV Community Tennis was held at the Edgartown Yacht Club courts, Friday to Sunday, September 24-26.
A festive event, the weekend included a cocktail party, a raffle, and awards for 'un-tennis accomplishments, including the Emily Post award to Edie Blake, "who has elegance and presence and always garners respect, and knows the most obscure tennis rules and etiquette."
Main Draw doubles winners were:

Men's 4.0: Kent Leonard & Joe McCormick
Women's 3.5: Carlene Gatting & Kelly Hess
Women's 4.0: Penny Franklin & Elizabeth McBride
Women's 4.5: Nina Bramhall & Sue Kimball
Mixed 3.5: Kelly Hess & Mark Marchand
Mixed 4.0: Alyssa Adler & Reid Yennie
Mixed 4.5: Sarah Rodgers & Paul Schneider.
Consolation Draw winners were:
Men's 4.0: Paul Adler & Reid Yennie
Women's 3.5: Sarah Catchpol & Susan Stevens
Mixed 3.5: Sarah Moor & James Prichard
Mixed 4.0: Cynthia Margolis & Tyson Tyler.
Thanks to the many sponsors and volunteers, the event raised more than $3,500 for M.V. Community Tennis.
