One of the Island’s premier fine art and editorial photographers, Alison Shaw‘s photos are iconic remembrances of Island life. For over 25 years Martha’s Vineyard has provided both inspiration and subject matter for much of Ms. Shaw’s color and black-and-white photography. Her gallery sells several books illustrated with her photos, such as “The Chappy Ferry Book” and “To the Harbor Light,” as well as her own photo books.
The gallery is located about a 10-minute walk from downtown Oak Bluffs in the Oak Bluffs Arts District. Ms. Shaw teaches 4 to 6 workshops each year — on the Vineyard, in Maine, Venice, Santa Fe, and Nova Scotia. She also offers mentorships for students on the Island.
