Martha’s Vineyard restaurant mogul J.B. Blau opened Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company in 2011, and it has been a local favorite since day one. Open year round, Cho-co (as it is commonly known) has something for most, from a handsome bar and bar seating area, to a full dining room.
The restaurant features a raw bar and fresh local seafood, as well as pastas, chicken, steaks, and burgers. And, of course, the award-winning chowder. Chef Alex Nagi spends his mornings preparing the day’s chowders from scratch.
Mr. Blau is also the owner of both Sharky’s Cantinas and the new Copper Wok.
M.V. Chowder Company serves lunch Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11:30 am, and dinner 7 nights a week from 5 pm.
Don’t miss: A South Beach cocktail, and the chowder, of course.
