This hot spot at Tisbury Marketplace is owned by Sam Dunn, who built the marketplace and its small collection of shops in the 1980s. The dinner chef is Joe DaSilva, longtime chef at Lambert’s Cove Inn in West Tisbury, known for his tasty preparations of local food.
With its high ceilings, wheat, walnut and sky-blue color scheme and giant windows overlooking the inner harbor of the Lagoon, Saltwater is a lovely setting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or dine at the bar for a casual meal overlooking the raw bar.
“Our restaurant draws upon fresh ingredients, sourced from local purveyors whenever possible, to create simple and comfortable American cuisine,” writes the restaurant. “Our menu features several wood-fired grilled seafood and meat dishes, as well as a raw bar featuring Island oysters.”
