Many dined at Mediterranean this past Sunday, April 11, to raise money for Women Empowered (WE), a non-profit organization that offers free life skills coaching programs, grants, and loans to Islanders. Mediterranean donated 20 percent of that evening’s proceeds to the organization, which Sheila Bracy, executive director, hopes to be approximately $400.

During dinner, members nominated potential winners of the 2010 Woman of the Year award, which will be decided later in the spring. In attendance was last year’s awardee, Cindy Doyle, who was recognized for her community service through organizations such as the Youth Task Force, Dukes County Health Council, and the Martha’s Vineyard Donors Collaborative.
