Martha's Vineyard Museum discusses Canada's whaling history

Dr. Jim Tuck, professor emeritus from Memorial University of Newfoundland, will speak about the Basques, who voyaged to Red Bay and other Labrador posts during the 16th century, and their long heritage of whaling. The talk, part of the ongoing Archaeology Lecture Series, is at the Martha's Vineyard Museum this coming Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 pm in the museum library. Admission is $12; $8 for members.
