Holiday bazaars: Something for everyone

While there is no shortage of Island stores offering all manner of gifts from handmade to household, the seasonal holiday bazaars manage to bring something special to holiday shopping.

Many are run for the benefit of worthy causes and organizations. Often they bring an array of exotic items from places around the world. And all provide an opportunity for neighbors to gather, reunions to take place, and the congenial spirit of the season to be shared.

Peacecraft Holiday Benefit Sale

9 Beach Road, Vineyard Haven. Friday, Nov. 28, through Wednesday, Dec. 24, 11 am-4 pm. Benefits many overseas programs and causes.

Holiday Bazaar

Ag Hall in West Tisbury. Friday, Dec. 5, 5:30-8:30 pm. Benefits West Tisbury School Class of 2011. A selection of greenery, craft and gift items.

Holiday Fair

Holiday Bazaar

Oak Bluffs School, Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 am-4 pm. Seventh grade class will hold its annual event that will include a country raffle, pictures with Santa, a bake sale, holiday items, and much more.

Christmas Faire
