"Zeb-Schooner Life," a film by Tisbury resident Gordon Massingham, was recently awarded an India Award in a California-based competition.
The Martha's Vineyard Regional High School Minnesingers recently won the bronze medal at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors' Association festival at Algonquin Regional High School. They have also been invited to perform with the Eastern Nazarene College A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers at Jordan Hall in Boston.
George J. Semler of Vineyard Haven was recently inducted into the DiGamma Honor Society of Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. Semler is a 1972 alumnus and is a project consultant for Resources Global Professional.
Bonnie Marcus of Vineyard Haven was recently selected to be one of Aspire Magazine's Inspiring Women Speakers. She will speak on June 24 in Rhode Island.
Louisa Gould of Louisa Gould Gallery in Vineyard Haven was recently awarded a special Perseverance award from the Tisbury Business Association.

Dina N. Salvatore and Shane A. BenDavid, both of Edgartown, were engaged on February 14. Dina is the daughter of Rick Salvatore and Colleen Amoroso of Brook Park, Ohio. Shane is the son of Augustus BenDavid of Edgartown and Sally Sherwood of West Tisbury.

Camille Carter and Patrece Petersen announce the birth of their daughter, Brooklynn Emvy Luxcisen Devine Petersen, on February 21 at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Brooklynn weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and joins four siblings.

Janaina and Rafael De Sousa of West Tisbury announce the birth of their son, João Victor Freire DeSousa, on March 29 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. João weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
