If you have a full plate of spring-cleaning for your year-round home or you are readying your summer house on the weekends, you may not always have enough time to prepare dinner. Martha's Vineyard has ample take-out solutions for those nights you realize it's already 6 pm and you're still in the garden.
Thai Cuisine in Oak Bluffs has established a good reputation for their take-out, big portions, with timely service, and friendly staff.
Recently renovated and reopened, Giordano's Clam Bar and Pizza is a popular take-out spot for their drool-worthy pizza and all things fried, from clams to mozzarella sticks.
If you're looking for other pizza places, there are many. In Edgartown, Edgartown Pizza is a hot spot that also serves a very popular Brazilian plate;
Lattanzi's serves antipasti, pizza, and pasta for carryout; and the Fresh Pasta Shoppe serves hearty slices and pies.
In Oak Bluffs, the Ocean View and Offshore Ale Co. sell whole pies; Offshore offers a wide variety - barbeque chicken, duck, and potato, to name a few. Paesan's sells pies and slices.
In Vineyard Haven, Beetlebung recently added pizza to their evening menu, from 4 to 8 pm.
Also in Vineyard Haven is Zephrus, which has a separate take-out menu that varies with the seasons.
Reliable and open year-round, Sharky's in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs is popular for Mexican take-out dinners, from taco salads to enchiladas. They also serve a limited "North of the Border" menu for those who don't want Mexican.
And for those who want to travel to the American South, there are two Smoke N' Bones in Oak Bluffs that offer full take-out menus.
Though most restaurants offer take-out from their regular menus, these are a sampling of popular take-out choices.
