Achievements
Jane Elizabeth Taylor of Vineyard Haven and Beth Blankenship-O'Connor of Oak Bluffs recently passed national oral and written exams at the Professional Skater's Association's International Conference. The exams were the first step in becoming Master Rated coaches. Ms. Taylor and Ms. Blankenship O'Connor are affiliated with the M.V. Figure Skating Club and the Skating School of M.V.

JoEllen Keaney and Mark Meuse
JoEllen Keaney and Mark Meuse were recently engaged. JoEllen is the daughter of Kevin and Joan Keaney of Oak Bluffs. Mark is the son of Joseph and Linda Meuse of Broadalbin, N.Y. An August 1 wedding is planned.

Mira C. Street
Dana and Marin Street of West Tisbury announce the birth of their daughter, Mira Christine Street, on May 24 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Mira weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
Anita D. Cabral
Ana Dos Santos and Joao Cabral of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their daughter, Anita Dos Santos Cabral, on May 25 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Anita weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and joins sister Clara.

James M. O'Donnell received an associate in science degree at the New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, R.I.
Amanda Murphy graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston. Ms. Murphy received a bachelor of science degree.
Brianna Sylvia of West Tisbury received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Western New England College in Springfield. Ms. Sylvia is the daughter of Timothy and Janet Sylvia.
Benjamin A. Madeiras of Oak Bluffs received an associates degree in landscape contracting at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mr. Madeiras, the son of Susan and the late Richard Madeiras, graduated with academic distinction.
Joshua David Wild of Tisbury recently graduated magna cum laude from Merrimack College in North Andover. Mr. Wild, the son of Elizabeth B. Wild and Jonathan A. Wild, received a bachelor of arts in political science.
