For most of the past weekend, Campbell and Douglas Harness and Feed, the popular equestrian and landscape supply store on South Road in Chilmark, was filled with shoppers taking advantage of their liquidation sale. Long-time owners Laura Campbell and David Douglas have sold the buildings and Rainbow Farm property that will become a private residence. Since last weekend, all items have been reduced to 30 percent off, and starting tomorrow, will be further marked down to half price.

"We're going to continue the sale until we're out of inventory," Mr. Douglas said on Monday afternoon. "It will probably go on for few more weeks or so."

The sale encompasses all of Campbell and Douglas's inventory, which includes fertilizers, grain, seeds, garden and farm tools, riding equipment and apparel, bird supplies, and, pet food, toys, and beds.

Ms. Campbell is surprised by the success of the sale. "I don't think I looked up for six hours on Saturday," she said. "You think that people don't know where you are and then so many people come out - we're going to miss a lot of them."
