Pure and simple

Friends, family, and admirers of photographer Allison Colarusso gathered at the Bank of Martha's Vineyard in Chilmark on May 29. On display through June, her photos depict the natural beauty of a variety of settings, including the Vineyard, Key West, and the Bahamas.

A wonderous year

The winter classes of Sense of Wonder Creations conclude with art and entertainment on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7. The multi-media work of students aged 5 to 13 includes paintings, sculpture, masks, and mosaics. This weekend's two-day art show and sale will be from 12 noon to 5 pm under the tent at Sense of Wonder studio, 23 Grove St., Vineyard Haven. The closing party, Sunday, 3 to 5 pm, includes live music by Adam Lipsky and Niko Ewing, games, refreshments and more. Proceeds from the nonprofit program's art and bake sale will go to Mercy Corps, providing food for the world's hungry children. Call 508-693-3142 for information.
