In charming Edgartown on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, stands The Charlotte Inn. The proprietors have created a spirited revival of Edwardian-era elegance, which is apparent from the moment a guest steps through the front door. Upon approaching the mahogany Scottish barrister’s desk to sign the old-fashioned ledger, there is a sense of having stepped back in time.
The interiors of the Inn reflect an enduring interest in distinction and refinement. Each room has fine 19th century oil paintings and furnished with a collection of English antiques, all of which are still in use. Deep hunter greens and burnished mahogany paneling complete the mood.
